Supervisor Operations (m/f/d)
To strength our Operations team, we are in a need for an Supervisor Operations to join our Operations leadership team. This position provides an opportunity to present yourself and your ambitions in a dynamic production environment.
Your Responsibilities
As Supervisor Operations you lead several Welding/Painting/Assembly teams in our sprayer production facility at John Deere Fabriek Horst and you are responsible to deploy company and production strategies. Your total team size can go up to ± 30-45 welders/painters/operators and multiple team leads. More specific:
Daily performance of your Operations teams on important KPI’s related to safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
Monitor these KPI’s, analyze deviations, adjust to change and initiate corrective actions to maintain and improve performance of your teams.
Convey the Continuous Improvement philosophy and initiate CI activities to further improve the performance of your teams on safety, quality, delivery and productivity. Your decisions for change are data driven and you pro-actively lead a cross-functional improvement team to implement changes.
Work together with the other operations supervisors and functional areas to continuously streamline the whole production process and set-up your teams to be successful and hitting daily production rates, with quality and safety.
Plan with the team leads the work assignments and FTE staffing according to the production planning and master production schedule needs.
Pro-actively take care of day-to-day challenges that have impact on your production output and work with cross-functional team to solve them with urgency.
Provide supervision and training to your employees.
Ensure the team is living the company policies and regulations.
You report directly to the Manager Operations.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial or production engineering, preferably, supply or business management or related fields.
3+ years leadership role experience in projects and/or production environment.
Shopfloor experience, strong manufacturing background and understanding of production processes.
Solid knowledge on Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies and knows how to deploy them.
Can do mentality, analytical, flexible and innovative.
Team player and team leader with demonstrated effective communication skills to include and motivate people throughout different levels of the organization (from shopfloor till management).
Make funded decisions based on the available information.
Fluent Dutch and English in speaking and writing. Proficiency in German is a differentiator.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and HR Management applications.
Feels comfortable with the dynamics of a production environment.
