Título: Project Specialist - 69880

Major Purpose

Drives tactical team-level improvement as part of the agile methodology in Human Resources. Understands business strategy, objectives and technology to ensure development work is prioritized by business value, work is aligned with objectives and help the team overcome development roadblocks. Selects tools, frameworks, and methodologies for team-level activities, within established guidelines. Understands a business unit’s products, services and basic business processes, and help determine the role the team can play to support their success.

Major Duties

  • Responsible for teaching and enforcing the values and principles of Agile in the Human Resources Organization;

  • Identifies, tracks, removes, or escalates impediments to enable team success toward the sprint commitments;

  • Tracks metrics (inputs, outputs, and outcomes) for team; monitors on an ongoing basis and informs key stakeholders as appropriate. Monitors sprint velocity and works with team to determine how they can continue to improve on velocity and recognize additional efficiencies as they mature;

  • Facilitates process to decide which stories will be included in each sprint through understanding team’s velocity and story scope and size. Helps team members prioritize order of user stories they will execute against the product commitments;

  • Assists with effective capacity planning for team to determine what team can take on in any given sprint. Works with product owner, and team to re-balance and re- prioritize work within a sprint.

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge

Required

  • Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, change management and conflict resolution;

  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology, Information Technology, Business/Management, Human Resources discipline or equivalent;

  • Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions;

  • Knowledge of products and services offered by the appropriate area of responsibility;

  • Capable of collaborating with business leaders to provide information technology solutions;

  • Experience on Agile development processes and methodologies/tools;

  • Skill in utilizing tools and software that support Human Resources processes;

  • Experience in Project management and business planning - small strategic projects or larger tactical projects with medium complexity;

  • Knowledge of information systems, technologies and architecture;

  • Experience maintaining confidential data;

  • Advanced English skills.

Desired

  • Previous Human Resources Experience

  • HR principles and procedures in such areas as employee/labor relations compensation and benefits, staffing and employee development, training and development, safety and health, etc.

  • Intermediate Spanish skills.
