Deere & Company is seeking a Staff Engineer, Product – Embedded Software in Johnston, IA with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience. Required skills: Required skills: Experience in designing In-vehicle network architecture based on CAN, LIN, and Ethernet (5 yrs); Experience defining Ethernet, Bluetooth and Wifi networking strategy for in-vehicle and vehicle connected to infrastructure (5 yrs); Lead ethernet application stack development by applying protocol architecture principles with an understanding of OSI layers and different ethernet standards (5 yrs); Identify and define the tools and test methods for Off Highway vehicle ethernet networks and data modeling (5 yrs); Experience working in an Agile environment and in a software development life cycle to apply a system engineering approach for new product or technology development (5 yrs); Work with standard committees for Off Highway standard development such as AEF, ISO, ASABE and IEC and participate in early concept development through plugfest (5 yrs). Up to 60% remote work allowed. Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Up to 15% domestic and international travel required.
