Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer for JD Financial Worldwide Headquarters located in Johnston, IA you will...

• Design, code, configure, deploy, and test features for our Global Document Digitalization platform in alignment with the JDF architecture strategy

• Continuously evaluate and implement design enhancements to improve cost, quality, and performance

• Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure the features planned and developed meet business requirements

• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production support issues

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of Full-stack software development experience utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript (or similar) to deliver web applications

  • 3 or more years of experience with DevOps principles and lean development, including Agile and CI/CD

  • 2 or more years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (compute, security, storage, API, networking etc.)

  • 2 or more years of experience with infrastructure as code

  • 2 or more years of experience in analyzing and translating business requirements into technical solutions

  • 1 or more years of experience working with and designing full-stack solutions and designing loosely coupled architectures.

  • 1 or more years of experience working with Test Driven Development, and Unit Test Frameworks.

  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with John Deere Financial data, processes and applications

  • Associate or higher level Amazon Web Services certifications

  • Proven expertise in DevOps, reliability engineering, and application monitoring

  • 2 or more years of experience designing, building, and deploying cloud hosted solutions

  • 2 or more years of experience with software development, testing, deployment, lifecycle, and best practices

  • 2 or more years of experience with Github, Terraform and Jenkins

  • 2 or more years of experience with DynamoDB, Lambda and API Gateway

  • 3 or more years experience with Python or Javascript

  • 1 or more years experience with containerization


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent experience, or cloud/coding boot camp and some experience.
