The Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) of John Deere in Kaiserslautern develops future trends and technologies in the area of mobile agricultural and construction machinery in cooperation with different research centers. In addition, ISG develops and sells products and services in the area of precision farming using global satellite based navigation systems (GNSS), automated steering systems, machine automation, sensor technologies, telematics system solutions, web applications as well as apps for mobile devices to optimize farming processes and to support decision making.

Internship / Master’s thesis in Product Marketing
In this position, you will be mainly working in the area of Material Property Sensing and with our HarvestLab™ 3000 Sensor, which was introduced back in 2007. Using near-infrared-reflectance (NIR) technology, our sensor enables an accurate measurement and documentation of dry mater, starch, protein, natural and acid detergent fiber in different crop types.
You will identify, prioritize and evaluate various customer needs in the production systems Dairy and Livestock as well as small grains with use of creative approaches.
Your Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Master’s student in agricultural science or with a comparable education in agriculture
Ideally agricultural background, preferably in livestock farming and/or arable farming
Knowledge in precision farming techniques and/or digitalization
Good communication, analytical and team skills
Knowledge of programming, statistics and modelling
Good spoken and written language skills in English as the Thesis will be written in English, additional languages preferred
