The European Technology Innovation Center (ETIC) of John Deere is part of a global R&D network in Kaiserslautern. Its focus is on the research on and development of future trends and technologies in the area of mobile agricultural and construction machines in close collaboration with diverse research institutes.
Our Enterprise Advanced Marketing team is looking for an Intern starting March 2020 for 6 or 9 months
Intern with Bachelor/Master Thesis (m/f/d)
“Evaluating/testing of traction improving technologies on a tractor implement combination”
At Agritechnica 2019, John Deere and Joskin presented the new eAutoPowr transmission and the e8WD system, which has achieved a gold medal. The eAutoPowr allows to off-board up to 100kW for external usage. In combination with the Joskin e8WD system, which uses the electric power to drive two axles of a slurry tanker, traction and productivity in the field gets optimized. The here offered Thesis and/or internship will promote field verification, optimization and further system development. In this position, you will be integrated in a global team with strong connection to our customers. The position is targeted for an internship with a Bachelor or Master thesis connected (3+3 months). This opportunity is available from March 2020. The working location will be Kaiserslautern (Germany) in the Advanced Marketing department.
What Skills you need:
Student (m/f/d) in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering or similar fields of study
Professional knowledge and experience in handling and operating large size agricultural machines, especially slurry tankers and high horse power tractors (>250 hp))
Knowledge in Technical Solutions
Knowledge in field trials, data statistics and analysis
Good understanding of Farming processes
Well versed in MS Office
Good English language skills are required, other additional languages improve your profile
Driving Licenses B, T (BE)
