Your Responsibilities

As a Facilities/Maintenance Engineer for John Deere Kernersville located in Kernersville, NC , you will...

  • Manage and oversee maintenance of all building, infrastructure and grounds

  • Coordinate project activities with full range of contractors; (electrical, mechanical, roofing, HVAC)

  • Develop, implement, and maintain condition monitoring on production equipment

  • Plan, schedule, and implement execution of the replacement of production equipment

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years work experience in related field preferred

  • Good communication skills, written, oral, and math

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and 2D and 3D CAD software

  • Must be able to manage projects including planning, installation, and implementation

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Lead facility construction and improvement projects

  • Develop basic plans as required to support manufacturing and business activities

  • Review drawings and details of John Deere Kernersville requirements – prep for submission to contractors

  • Review contractor proposals including drawings, and technical details

  • Provide daily worksite inspections and adherence of contractors to approved drawings and details

  • Review test output data for soil testing, concrete makeup & performance, asphalt makeup & performance

  • Coordinate construction activities with Manufacturing, Logistics, and Security

  • Meet with inspectors and review issues that are presented

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • 3 or more years' work experience in related field preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Degree
