Luxembourg is the European Headquarters for John Deere Financial. The primary activity is providing financial services to customers and dealers who want to finance John Deere equipment. Our financial international team works globally within a highly collaborating network using benchmark processes and systems to support the business objectives. To support our team in Luxembourg we are looking for a temporary Accountant:

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT – US GAAP

12 Months – fixed term contract

What You’ll Do:

• Reporting & Analyzing of the Bank’s French Joint Venture & French Subsidiary financials in the monthly consolidation/reporting process

• Responsible for the Treasury activities of the Bank including the monitoring and the analysis of the funding plan

• Perform regular accounting bookings related to funding entries, including month-end reporting to the headquarters and account reconciliations

• Assist in day-to-day accounting operations of our financial department

• Support the coordination with external auditors of the bank and of its subsidiaries

• Play active role in the Internal Controls of the Bank in compliance with Sarbanes – Oxley (SOX) act of 2002

What It Takes:

• Master’s degree in accounting, supported by a minimum of 4 years’ experience

• Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP)

• Capacity to solve problems, identify options and propose solutions, self-starter approach

• Accurate, conscientious, detail oriented, flexible with strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• IT skills: MS office pack (Oracle and Power BI is a plus)

• Appetite for new innovative ideas and continuous improvements

• Fluent in English. French/Spanish would be a strong advantage
