John Deere Luxembourg is the European Headquarters for John Deere Financial, part of John Deere. Our primary activity is providing financial services to John Deere customers and dealers who want to finance John Deere equipment.
For our Luxembourg business we are looking for a:
(temporary contract – 3 months)
The John Deere Bank IT Department implements and supports software applications using agile methodologies. Our IT team in Luxembourg works on technical infrastructures and architecture that enables us to provide innovative.
In this position You will work on a product team and support the product and writing and testing code to deliver moderately complex functionality on a complete product or significant portion of a product it supports. You will develop simple designs to solve well-defined problems with guidance from more senior team members.
Your major duties will be to:
Develop, configure, and test applications hosted in the cloud (AWS) as well as on premises
Evaluate and implement enhancements, design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications
Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives
Execute necessary documentation, as directed, or needed
Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs
Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation
Support and maintain production environment and applications
Soft skills we are looking for:
Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions
Ability to apply engineering principles and concepts for designs
Excellent communication skills (both in writing & verbal)
Ability to manage many competing priorities/requests in a fast-paced environment and to stay calm and focus while managing those multiple priorities
Ability to work and communicate in a virtual environment with a multi-cultural and international team
High sense of responsibility and initiative
Previous experience in programming/software development. 3+ years
Java Script and related frameworks
Experience with AWS cloud software development
Lambda and APIs
Experience with DevOps process and tools
Experience working in an Agile Environment - 1 to 3 years
Fluent in English
