Title: Hazardous Materials Specialist - 60919
As a Hazardous Materials Specialist for John Deere located in Milan, IL, you will manage compliance for the Hazardous Materials Transportation Code of Federal Regulations (49 CFR), International Air Transport Association (IATA), International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG), John Deere Hazardous Materials Management System (HMMS) and Phytosanitary compliance throughout Parts North American facilities. In addition, you will:
Be responsible for the classification and coding of all new and existing products
Be responsible for training to maintain regulatory compliance

What Skills You Need
Experience conducting or coordinating hazardous material transportation regulation audits for the following: 49 Code of Federal Register (CFR) Transportation, International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and Hazmat Transportation Security Awareness
Experience conducting or coordinating the training process for the following: 49 Code of Federal Register (CFR) Transportation, International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and Hazmat Transportation Security Awareness
1 or more years of experience working with Department of Transportation regulations
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 20%
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience in the environmental profession
Experience in manufacturing operation, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering
Logistics work experience in such areas as warehousing, materials management, transportation
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in a science, business or engineering discipline
