Title: Part-Time Student-Industrial Engineer-Milan IL - 96804

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Note: Relocation assistance is not provided.

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND .

Your Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to various warehouse departments and operations

• Support Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities and projects to drive improvements in key business metrics

• Create and maintain standard work documentation for warehouse processes

• Assist with establishing labor standards, including industrial time study

• Design warehouse layouts for optimal material flow and reduction of travel

This position is not available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

• Ideally you will be pursuing a STEM-related degree; others may apply

• Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university

• Graduation date of May 2024 or later

• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

• Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year

• Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester

• Must be able to commute to the work location in Milan, Illinois, on scheduled workdays on a weekly basis year-round (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided)

What Makes You Stand Out

• Skill and experience in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools such as AutoCAD or Minitab

• Knowledge of computer programming languages such as SQL and Python and reporting tools such as Tableau and PowerBI to analytically interpret data

• Familiarity with databases and their general structure

• Self-starter with high level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Organizational and project management skills
