Function: Supply Management / Logistics

Title: Supply Management Specialist - 77088

This position may be located in Milan, IL or Rock Island, IL or Waterloo, IA per the hiring manager's discretion. This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

This position is eligible for a partial telework work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

This posting will be used to fill three openings.

Your Responsibilities

As a Supply Management Specialist for John Deere Aftermarket & Customer support located in Milan, IL or Rock Island, IL. or Waterloo, IA.,. you will….

  • Be responsible for the procurement of service parts supporting Production & Precision Agriculture and / or the aftermarket portfolio

  • Ensure appropriate levels of supplier quality, delivery, and establish material replenishment strategies

  • Maintain relat i onships with suppliers and coordinates efforts to address performance improvement initiatives

  • Lead cost reduction and margin improvement activities for assigned areas of responsibility

  • Work closely with marketing, suppliers, and other critical areas of the business to understand product and market needs, supporting sourcing decisions to ensure a quality product at the appropriate total cost

What Skills You Need

  • Experience working on a project team or leading small projects

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

  • Skilled in interpersonal communication and conflict resolution

  • Experience in data and / or financial analysis

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 1 or more years of experience working in Supply Management, Material Flow, or Material Planning

  • 1 or more years of experience working directly with suppliers

  • 1 or more years using order fulfillment principles

  • 1 or more years of experience using SAP or other MRP based systems

  • Project management experience that includes identifying an issue, creating a plan, coordinating resources, and delivering results

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management and/or related discipline(s).
