Function: Accounting / Finance

Title: Tax Analyst- 86109

Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

This position may be located in Moline, IL or Des Moines, IAper the hiring manager's discretion.This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.

Your Responsibilities

As a Tax Analystfor Deere & Company located in Moline, IL or Johnston, IA, you will c oordinate implementation, configuration, and coding of Deeres E-Commerce tax engine.

In addition you will.

  • Hands on activities for U.S./Canadian implementation

  • Support International implementation based on knowledge learned from domestic implementation

  • Support E-Commerce business with Exemption Certificate Management

  • Support E-Commerce business with Environmental Fees

  • Assist in implementation of Vertex in U.S and Canada

  • Performs analysis for more senior tax analysts, engage in tax planning activities.

  • Provides general assistance on various tax issues and tax planning projects

  • Counsel business units on taxability of transactions.

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of Accounting or Finance experience

  • Experience proposing solutions based on sound financial analysis while considering the impact of tax decisions on the enterprise

  • Experience meeting critical compliance timelines and taking reasonable risks to accomplish goals

  • Experience to collaborate effectively with colleagues and build relationships both within and outside the Tax and Accounting function

  • Experience adapting quickly to shifting priorities and embracing challenges posed by changing requirements

  • Experience producing high quality work in challenging situations and delivering on commitments to various stakeholders with diverse requirements

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Excellent communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with Vertex sales tax software

  • Experience with sale tax and excise taxes and environmental fees.

  • Knowledge of business operations and the organizational structure of the Enterprise

  • Experience with Data Analytic Tools (Microsoft Power BI, Query and Automate)

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across functions

  • Experience adjusting communication style to audience and nature of project to effectively communicate technical topics to diverse stakeholders

  • Project management experience

  • Committed to growing professional skills and personal development, and willingness to share knowledge with others

  • Experience with SAP

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Accounting/Finance/Data Analytics discipline
