Title: Category Lead, Logistics - 77339
As a Category Lead for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will….
Provide tactical support for Worldwide Logistics stakeholders and Supply Base Managers to ensure compliance, risk, achieving excellence (AE), and supplier add processes are completed in a timely manner
Plan and execute key projects supporting strategy development, capacity expansion and cost reduction.
Complete RFI and RFQ preparation and negotiation
Prepare and negotiate carrier and other contractual agreements
Lead initiative to expand Supplier Diversity Spend for North American Trucking

What Skills You Need
Experience in Supply Management/Logistics or working directly with supply management (2 or more years of experience)
Experience negotiating pricing and contracts (2 or more years of experience)
Experience identifying new opportunities to create value, efficiency, and cost reduction (2 or more years of experience)
Experience managing supplier relationships and performance (2 or more years of experience)
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience working in Worldwide Logistics
Experience working globally, across divisions
Demonstrated ability to influence without authority
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Management, Business/Management, Human Resources, Engineering, or related discipline or equivilant experience
