Title: Disaster Recovery Engineer - 73212
As Senior Disaster Recovery Engineer, you will serve as a member of the Incident Preparedness team which concentrates on preparation and response to critical IT service outages, including Major Incident response and Disaster Recovery capabilities for GIT. This role will facilitate the IT Disaster Recovery program ensuring alignment with relevant enterprise risk and response organizations.
Coordination of standard business continuity processes including risk assessment, business impact analysis, plan development, exercising and program maintenance.
Deliver on standard preparedness metrics and recovery capabilities
Consult with GIT Product Teams on recovery, operational risk, audit and related compliance topics.
Ensure appropriate alignment with enterprise organizations including Enterprise Business Continuity, Digital Risk Office (DRO), Enterprise Risk Management and other internal risk organizations.
Development of IT DR tooling and processes (e.g. business continuity management system BCMS)
Engagement with IT I&O Edge Operations for the development of local Computer Disaster Recovery Plans (cDRPs).
7+ years of experience infrastructure or application product support with experience spanning multiple layers of the tech stack.
Proven ability to design and deliver resilient IT products and services.
Demonstrated skills in technical and non-technical communications, both verbal and written.
Ability to successfully engage with stakeholders at various levels of leadership to provide training and technical consultation.
5+ years of experience supporting high-availability infrastructure solutions
Experience with modern data resiliency and\or orchestration technologies
Familiarity, or even certification, with a standard incident response, risk management or business continuity framework (e.g. ISO, NIST or COBIT)
Understanding of technology considerations for various hosting environments: Edge, Datacenter, Co-Location and cloud.
Education (or equivalent work experience)↵
