Your Responsibilities

As a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Program Manager, Global IT (GIT) for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline or Chicago, IL , you will serve as a key advisor and coach on DEI-related issues at all levels and provide guidance and advice for executive action team members and global DEI leadership teams. In addition, you will:

  • Identify, build, and sustain strategic partnerships with community, universities, and diversity organizations

  • Conduct DEI audits and surveys to further understand highest priority opportunities to progress GIT’s DEI aspirations

  • Communicate and collaborate with existing DEI groups and other individuals who have been leading DEI work internally, to ensure clarity of purpose, efficacy, and coordination across efforts

  • Serve as Product Manager for GIT DEI Council

  • Leadership strength with an ability to effectively influence colleagues at all levels on our global team

  • Creative problem solver that can bring innovative solutions to drive change and in a large, global matrixed organization

  • A demonstrated ability to dive into tough jobs and get things done

  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to balance diplomacy and pushing the envelope/speaking out

  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal, facilitation, written and presentation) exhibited at all levels with the organization, with proven experience navigating difficult and sensitive conversations

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Meaningful experience in diversity, equity and inclusion, human resources, talent development, organizational development, or related field

  • Experience using data to generate insights and identify root causes, building short and long-term plans and drive meaningful action

  • Background in talent development in technology


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Human Resources or equivalent experience in a related career field
