Title: EHS Due Diligence & Integration Manager - 103886

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. You would need to be onsite weekly. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change. This position is not eligible for remote work.

Your Responsibilities

As an EHS Due Diligence and Integration Manager for Deere & Company located in Moline, IL, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise EHS due diligence for property transactions, business mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; applying expert technical analysis of identified risks based on the results of due diligence assessments for the business teams.

  • Lead the regulatory compliance evaluation of business mergers and acquisitions, working with and managing third-party EHS consultants to determine the level of regulatory compliance, and monitor the closure of the corrective action plan of the applicable findings.

  • Lead the EHS integration process of new acquisitions, providing guidance to develop and implement the critical EHS processes and EHS management systems.

  • Oversee environmental financial reporting obligations such as the financial assurance letter process and conditional asset retirement obligations.

What Skills You Need

  • 5 or more years of experience owning and leading EHS risk management in a large business unit

  • Practical understanding and application of all major EHS regulatory programs and environmental law

  • Technical knowledge or field experience with environmental site assessments and/or remediation projects

  • Experience in identifying EHS non-compliances and ethical issues

  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and standards

  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret, analyze and communicate insights to stakeholders

  • 3 or more years of experience and skills in directing and managing outside contractors, and consultants to complete projects on time and on budget

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally at a minimum of 25%

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of systems and standards followed at John Deere

  • 3 or more years of project management experience including plan development, budget management, team management, requirements gathering, delivery, and deployment

  • EHS certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Safety and Health Manager (CSHM), Certified Environmental Specialist, HAZWOPER certification or equivalent


Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelors Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline, in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, or in a Science discipline
