Your Responsibilities
As an Employee Communications Manager for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will:
Focus on strategically planning, managing, developing, and deploying internal communications in various formats that help all employees feel valued, engaged, and inspired. Scope of work would include leading or supporting communication projects that might extend to external audiences, as well as leveraging content planned for external Deere channels to share with internal audiences.
Bring an innovative mindset and an expectation for timely, high-quality communications, while aligning work to the enterprise's internal content strategy, topic narratives, and governance.
Engage with key stakeholders across Global Brand and Communications and the rest of the business to align activities and maximize benefits for the organization and the enterprise.
Demonstrate a strong ability to create storytelling content (whether that’s writing, videos, digital, etc.) on your own, while also showing you have solid experience working with agencies and others for support.

What Skills You Need
7 or more years of experience as a skilled communicator and influencer with experience consulting with stakeholders on effectively communicating
7 or more years of communication project management experience including plan development, project team management, requirement gathering, delivery and deployment
7 or more years of experience as a business writer who can adapt style based on audience needs and business objectives
5 or more years of experience with communication planning processes and measurement
5 or more years of experience with inter-company politics, structure, and strategic relationships
5 or more years of a proven track record of working both independently and as part of a team
What Makes You Stand Out
Expertise in digital communication tools and best practices
Understanding of and skills to help employees with change management
Master's degree
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- University degree in communications, journalism, public relations or English
