Function: Marketing / Sales

Title: Global Experience Specialist - 54015

Your Responsibilities

As a Global Experience Specialist for John Deere located in Moline, Illinois, you will define meeting and event needs for marketing and sales programs for the Strategic Business Unit(SBU) and senior division management. In addition, you will:

  • Coordinate special promotional, educational and/or informational events for channel partners and/or global customers, including, but not limited to, fly-ins, incentive trips and Administers all aspects of dealer/customer visits, including but not limited to factory tours, dealers/farm visits, transportation, lodging, meals, and chargebacks branches

  • Create and manage registration website in Cvent Meeting Management System for events

  • Partner with representatives from other units or divisions and initiates/implements contract negotiations and final written agreements for each program. This includes working on internal and external logistics support (staffing, meeting locations/rooms, refreshments, lodging, transportation, banquets, etc.)

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers for all aspects of meetings and events including catering, lodging, and transportation

  • Communicate meeting and event information to division management, field staff and dealers

  • Represent Company at all events to ensure quality experiences for our global guests. This includes evaluation of each event for recommended improvements for future host functions

  • Give work direction, as required, to temporary workers and to on-site contractors and suppliers at program events

  • Reconcile various accounts, monthly reports, including identification of discrepancies and corrective action & Conducts all accounting functions for Guest Services planned events

  • Experience with Cvent Meeting Management System

  • Experience in Planning and Organizing

  • Experience in project management

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Customer Service experience

  • Effective writing skills, including grammatical usage

  • Effective interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills

  • Brand management skills

  • Microsoft Office experience

  • Knowledge of Deere products, customers, markets and competitors

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience working in customer service or related customer-oriented environment

  • Foreign language skills - Multilingual

  • Sales/marketing management experience

  • Experience with John Deere customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network, and broad product knowledge

  • Experience and efficiency in Visio mapping process in order to map possible changes to the current process

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Management, Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent discipline
