Opportunity: As an Infrastructure Engineer on the Desktop Management team, you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of changes to SCCM, Group Policy, and Endpoint protection infrastructures. This entry level position will work on low complexity infrastructure problems to meet the design and support needs of global desktop computing environments. Responsibilities:
Monitors, applies changes to, and/or manages current information technology infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance in an integrated environment.
Performs and applies information analysis to resolve infrastructure problems. Delivers infrastructure technology for business requirements.
Identifies, analyzes, selects, and applies with guidance, the appropriate new information technology infrastructure components within a diverse environment as required to support strategic business plans and processes.
Works on projects that require contact with other Information Technology departments at the unit, division, or enterprise level.
Completes changes and improvements to processes. This may include modifying existing operating systems, designs, or program code, or designing new processes. Responsible for communicating and recording change documentation.
What Skills You Need
Information technology experience and/or business experience (1 - 3 years)
Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) (1 - 3 years)
Experience with Windows patching (1+ years)
Basic knowledge of Endpoint Protection administration
Basic knowledge of Group Policy administration
Infrastructure exp in 1 or more components, i.e., private/public network, computer security, computing hardware, operating system. (1 - 3 years)
Understanding of infrastructure capabilities and constraints. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.
Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.
Excellence in verbal and written communication forms with emphasis on persuasive communication, tact, and negotiation. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
Ability to manage many competing priorities/requests in a fast-paced environment - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
What Makes You Stand Out
Basic knowledge of Software delivery
Basic knowledge of Intune administration
Basic knowledge of database administration (SQL)
Basic knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, Batch, Python)
Ability to establish and maintain vendor relationships
Experience working in an Agile Environment - (1 - 3 years)
Degree in an Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent).
