Function: Accounting / Finance
Title: Manager, International Tax - 59352
As a Manager, International Tax for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will review International portions of the U.S. tax return and assist in the preparation of the most complex forms, elections, and statements. In addition, you will:
Train and support international subsidiaries to ensure compliance with US GAAP tax accounting requirements.
Assist with audits of the tax returns by governmental agencies, including interacting with IRS auditors to defend our tax positions.
Research and analyze advanced tax issues for both compliance and planning purposes.
Consult with Financial Reporting, Treasury, and external advisors to understand and properly account for tax implications of global enterprise activities.
Assist in the due diligence and integration of acquisitions into the Deere Corporate Tax Structure.
Identify and assist in the development of tax planning projects.
Train and review work performed by less experienced Tax Analysts.

What Skills You Need
5 or more years of experience in tax-related matters
8 or more years of previous accounting or finance experience
Experience interpreting U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial statements and performing complex analysis
Experience performing tax research
Experience meeting critical compliance timelines, adapting quickly to shifting priorities and requirements and delivering on commitments to stakeholders with diverse requirements
Excellent communications skills including written, oral, and presentation capabilities demonstrating the ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex concepts to internal and external stakeholders
Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally on a limited basis
What Makes You Stand Out
3 or more years of International Tax work experience
Experience supervising technical, professional and administrative employees
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline
