Your Responsibilities
As a Multi-site Safety Lead for John Deere World Headquarters, located in Moline, IL, you will have the following responsibilities:
Align with and support the Vice President, Warehouse Operations to manage safety priorities within assigned business units (Global Parts Organization and non-manufacturing offices and engineering centers).
Proactively lead safety initiatives including innovative risk reduction activities, communications, implementation of policies, metrics, recordkeeping and key safety processes and standards.
Provide technical support and professional expertise to unit management and safety professionals.
Act as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for regulatory compliance and Deere Safety standards and programs.
Act as a Liaison with other key stakeholders across the business to ensure successful execution of safety programs and priorities.
Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
Lead consistent implementation of corporate standards, strategies, and initiatives to units within the assigned business area.

What Skills You Need
↵
5 or more years of expert level technical experience with leading a team on case management, worker's compensation, mediation, and litigation
10 or more years of proven experience in managing comprehensive health and safety programs
10 or more years of expert level technical experience on providing guidance on safety and ergonomics programs
Demonstrated ability to lead and execute change management across multiple units and across multiple regions or countries
Proven communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of management
Proven ability to work collaboratively and drive positive change across a diverse team
Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 50%
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience working with organized labor groups to implement safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement
Experience working in a warehousing and manufacturing environment
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or in a Science or Engineering discipline with equivalent experience
