The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Companys regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
As a Part-Time Student-Systems/IT Auditor for John Deere Internal Audit located in Moline, Illinois, you will execute audit engagements throughout the global Enterprise. In addition, you will:
Work within an agile methodology for completing audit deliverables and tasks as part of a high performing team
Gather and analyze evidence to support conclusions regarding internal controls over financial reporting and general IT controls over related information systems and infrastructure, and look beyond symptoms for the root cause
Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within Internal Audit by identifying gaps and providing recommendations related to the audit process
What Skills You Need
Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Computer Science/Math, Data & Analytics, Software Engineering, IT/Cybersecurity, or a combination thereof which may include other degrees such as Accounting/Finance
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
Graduation date of May 2023 or later
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
Available to work 16-20 hours/weekly during the academic year during business hours (e.g. 8am to 4pm)
Available to work up to 40 hours/weekly in summer months based on Management discretion
Must be able to work in a hybrid environment which includes both onsite and remote presence during business hours
What Makes You Stand Out
Proficient written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
High level of attention to detail
Work experience or internship in an IT related role
Passion for information technology and/or data analytics
Experience with data visualization and automation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Power Automate
Exposure to IT topics such as AWS Cloud components, application development principles, cyber security, operating systems, database administration principles, server administration, and network architecture
