Title: Part Time Student Technical SM - Moline, IL - 49507

Your Responsibilities

  • Project management for Supply Management initiatives.

  • Retrieve and analyze data from SAP, John Deere Supplier Network, and Total Cost Solution database to drive decisions on how to improve Supply Management business by streamlining processes and driving out cost.

  • Processing engineering change order tasks, releasing and analyzing requests for quotation, collaborating with strategic supply management specialist regarding supplier selection.

  • Ideate and execute improvement projects related to Cost Reduction

  • Execute supplier rationalization activities to optimize supply base.

What It Takes

  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Solid communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.

  • Pursuing a four-year degree. Preferably a student with Supply Chain Management Integration as educational focus.

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university

  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis

  • Graduation date of May 2020 or later

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • 16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year

  • 35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester

A strong candidate will also have

  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and factory operations and logistics
