Your Responsibilities
As Product Marketing Lead, Precision Upgrades for John Deere Performance Upgrades located in Moline, IL , you will...
Play a key role to deliver value to more farmers through upgrading their existing equipment with the latest technology from John Deere. Specifically, you will lead the strategic marketing plan for production agriculture retrofit product segments across North America.
Identify strategies to reduce barrier to entry of new product categories and technologies for farmer’s existing equipment
Develop and implement innovative ways to promote John Deere Precision Upgrades to increase awareness to channel partners and farmers
Engage with the John Deere Precision Upgrades and Production System teams to identify key value propositions for positioning and promotion of retrofit products
Collaborate with product management to influence overall product success in the market
Create go-to-market launch processes for John Deere Precision Upgrades, spanning hardware and software offerings for Precision Ag, Planting, Seeding, Application, Harvest, and Land Prep
Partner with product teams and customer success to adapt the John Deere marketing playbook to support farmer adoption of service-based technology platforms on their equipment
Partner with tactical marketing, marcom, and PR teams to activate compelling Precision Upgrade marketing ideas at scale, measuring impact and capture learning post-launch
Lead a team of product marketers responsible for value proposition definition and development of marketing launch plans for specific Precision Upgrade product segments

What Skills You Need
BA/BS degree
8+ years of experience in marketing, product management, business strategy, consulting, or similar field
6+ years of experience in product marketing; developing go-to-market strategies, partnering closely with product teams, or similar experience
Experience building, launching, and scaling products to bring to market; hardware or software, ideally with software or SaaS experience
Experience defining marketing requirements, creating marketing processes, audience definition, positioning statements, and value propositions
Experience working in a fast-paced, fluid, and entrepreneurial environment
Experience building partnerships with Product Management & cross-functional teams, to shape multi-year go to market strategies
Demonstrated ability to balance creative and analytical thinking, putting forth a measurable and data-driven framework to support agile marketing execution
Deep knowledge and understanding of production agriculture, farmers, precision Ag technologies, or similar experience
What Makes You Stand Out
MS/MBA degree
Field experience working directly with customers, channel partners, and clients to meet goals, or similar experience
Experience managing a high volume of ambiguous or complex programs
Experience applying new data & analytics methods to market position and placement
Experience marketing technology/software or a service-based business (SaaS)
Experience leading, developing and motivating a team of direct reports across geographic locations
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
