Your Responsibilities

As aProduct Marketing Specialistfor John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will

  • Support customer validation activities for 4WD Loaders, Aggregates and Material Handing solution concepts through organized Customer Advocacy Group events, customer visits, interviewsand machine follow- ups in the field

  • Support Market Launch Plans for 4WD Loader, Aggregates and Material Handing solutions, including content development as well as representation at shows and events

  • Provide analytics support for product lines, including market and industry trends, sizing, pricing and competitive landscape

  • Lead opportunity modeling for customer economics within production systems including model sites, incremental addressable marketand measurable customer value quantification

What Skills You Need

  • Strong communication skills are required to effectively support customer validation and feedback

  • Ability to collaborate well with other team members is required to participate and be a strong contributor to Market Launch Plans

  • Basic knowledge and experience using Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential as they are common tools used to do the work

  • Ability to learn financial and economic concepts to support analytic and modeling responsibilities

  • Ability to build expertise in areas of product and customer applications

  • Ability to manage competing work effectively to meet deadlines and deliverables

  • Willingness to travel on average 25% of the time with ability to travel less or more in a months time as schedules lay out

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience or expertise in construction industry with knowledge of product or job site operations

  • Experience and/or expertise in dairy or feed lot operations

  • An eagerness to learn and develop

  • Initiative to take on core responsibilities and more as opportunities arise

  • Ability to deliver high quality professional work

  • Ability to use advanced analytic tools such as PowerBI, SQLor advanced Excel capabilities

  • Experience with advanced technologies used in construction, off- road, on-road, automotive and industrial industries


Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Technology, Agriculture, Construction Management or relateddiscipline
