Title: Product Owner, Global Talent Management - 74691

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Owner, Global Talent Management for John Deere in Moline, IL you will understand the key business objectives and strategy of the product(s), as well as work with business owners to ensure that they are engaged and supportive of the technology direction . In addition, you will:

  • Be the "voice of the customer" to help shape Product priorities

  • Make final decisions on product functionality and ensure that functionality is aligned with Digital Product Manager's strategic vision for the Talent Management products within the product family scope

  • Maintain and refine the product backlog

  • Ensure features definition, acceptance criteria, and stories clearly communicate customer/stakeholder needs to the team

  • Understand and support inter-team dependencies and impediments and escalate issues when necessary

  • Be accountable for determining release date, the scope of release, and communication strategy

  • Ensure an exceptional product experience collecting inputs from users, stakeholders while collaborating with architecture and engineering resources

  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning/refinements, sprint review/demos)

What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of leading change management efforts within a dispersed business organization

  • 3 or more years implementing technology to streamline business processes, drive value, and create efficiencies

  • 3 or more years influencing without authority

  • 3 or more years product ownership experience including prioritization of work

  • 3 or more years of experience with Agile development methodologies/tools and writing user stories

  • Understanding of Talent Management Products and Solutions

  • Ability to speak with impact at all levels of the organization

  • Growth mindset - willingness to deal with and thrive in uncertainty, encouraging and enabling culture of experimentation for accelerated learning

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 3 or more years of experience in a human resources function

  • Experience in information technology and software delivery practices


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology or related degree.
