Function: Operations

Title: Senior Aviation Scheduler - 77340

This position is eligible for a partial telework work schedule arrangement at the present time.

The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Aviation Scheduler for John Deere Aviation located in Milan, IL, you will….

  • Develop and analyze safe, efficient, and cost effective medium to high complexity domestic and international schedules including the assignment of high-value assets, flight crews, and coordination of charter flights to best meet the air transportation requirements of senior executives, board of directors, and other company employees and business guests in accordance with governmental regulations and departmental policies and procedures.

    Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.

What Skills You Need

  • 2 or more years working with flight scheduling software and/or knowledge or experience working with Global Corporate Flight Department, Airline Scheduler, or equivalent industry experience.

  • 2 or more years of experience and knowledge of domestic and international airport operations

  • Experience with accounts payable systems and processes and invoice reconciliation

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Attention to detail in accounting and communications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)

  • Experience communicating with all levels of employees

  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize workflow

  • Ability to maintain confidential information

  • Able and willing to work after-hours on a rotating schedule

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience utilizing flight scheduling or commercial reservation software

  • Experience processing visas and passports

  • Ability to effectively communicate, in writing and verbally, with all levels of personnel

  • Experience in customer service or related customer-oriented environment

  • Licensed FAA Dispatcher

  • Willing to travel occasionally and hold or be eligible to hold a valid passport

  • AED/CPR certification

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree Business or Aviation Management or Travel Agent or FAA Licensed Dispatcher; or equivalent experience with corporate and/or commercial aviation
