Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Facilities Engineer for JD Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL , you will:

  • Plans, coordinates, manages, and performs facilities engineering work for a complete project.

  • Maintenance engineering for facility infrastructure, production equipment and processes of a large scope.

  • Provides troubleshooting and maintenance of the facility infrastructure and production equipment to support production.

  • Maintains budget cost control on projects for the unit.

  • Manage factory maintenance safety, risk and compliance processes in accordance with all National Standards and codes.

What Skills You Need

  • Background in Engineering (structural, civil, mechanical)

  • Demonstrated multi-discipline project management experience on projects of up to $10M in capital spend focusing on schedule, budget, and quality expectations with the ability to prioritize multiple active projects simultaneously

  • Knowledge of product, process, and facilities design

  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools

  • Working knowledge of building codes, OSHA Safety standards, quality and environmental laws, regulations, and goals

  • Knowledge of contract management

  • Ability to collaborate with factory leadership to deliver solutions that are aligned with factories’ strategies and goals

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)

  • Experience in project management and business planning or large strategic projects that are complex or involve sensitive topics

  • Knowledge of construction industry project delivery methods, controls, and construction contract management

  • Cross competency experience with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Supervision, Supply Management, Environmental, or Maintenance Engineering

  • Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to place a high priority on the internal or external customer’s perspective when making decisions and taking action; implementing service practices that meet the customers’ and own organization’s needs

  • 5 or more years’ experience with engineering tools, systems, and databases

  • Knowledge of Deere Supply Management Strategies

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural/Civil Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience
