Title: Software Engineer, Data & Analytics - 66177

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, for the John Deere Enterprise (Moline), you will join our global IT Data & Analytics team.   • Be responsible for collaborating with other software engineers and analysts to drive design and development within Data & Analytics (D&A) Suites of Apps to meet the requirements and demands of our manufacturing and supply chain function globally.

  • Contribute to technical analysis and design of solutions to improve quality and performance

  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of production support issues

  • Provide technical guidance on DevOps-related tasks, activities, and initiatives.

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • 3 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in (Data & Analytics) Java web development with Sprint and Restful APIs leveraging change management

  • 2 or more years of understanding of applications development environment, and varied database experience (e.g. HANA, DB2, Mongo, Oracle, MySQL), data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

  • 2 or more years of proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment

  • 2 or more years of deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

  • 1 or more years of working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures

  • 2 or more years of experience working with Test Driven Development and Unit Test Frameworks

  • 3 or more years of software development full stack experience in Java/J2EE, Node JS, Scala, JavaScript, UI Frameworks (REACT JS & ANGULAR JS), API Development, Application Development Skill

  • Strong working exposure of Development, Design and Architecture - Big Data, Python, Spark, AWS data Services (EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EMR, Data Pipeline, Glue) and ETL tools (Informatica, Pentaho, AWS Data Pipelines)

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Functional knowledge in one or more SAP modules and/or products: MM, PP, SD, QM

  • Good exposure AWS Economies of scale while designing cloud hosted Big Data applications

  • Exposure to system execution/quality monitoring tools, like AppDynamics, Focus Run or Grafana

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced, team environment while managing competing priorities

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
