As a Software Engineer for the Master Data Management area at John Deere, you will get the opportunity to work on mission critical products in a Fortune 500 company that is regularly ranked among the best companies to work for. Employees joining our Master Data management team set the engineering direction within the Data & Analytics space.
Collaborate with other engineers to design drive data engineering, API development and deliver high quality data accessibility solutions to meet the growing needs of the products business requirements
Work as an active member of the Master Data Engineering scrum team with strong software design, data design and loosely coupled architectural experience Transform and continuously improve product to meet or exceed the product's specifications of availability, data quality and compliance requirements thru' DevOps / CI/CD principles
Participate in discussions with the scrum team and collaborate with Senior Engineer and the product teams to develop technical solutions to satisfy business requirements
Participate in a variety of efforts related to front and back-end development (full-stack) Drive product innovations leveraging the cloud and other industry leading technologies
Assist with root cause analysis and resolution of production support issues
3 or more years of solid hands on experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java web development and Maven
Experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS
2 or more years of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
3 or more years experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
Experience using DevSecOps and lean development principles, such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (GitHub, Jenkins etc.)
2 or more years working with Test Driven Development (J-Unit, Cucumber, etc.)
2 or more years of varied database experience such as RDS/Postgres / MongoDB
Experience working with multiple business stakeholders and providing information technology solutions
Strong interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Willingness to initially work remote and travel up to 25% when the environment allows.
Experience configuring, implementing, and utilizing system execution/quality monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Grafana, Graylog, SonarQube, etc.)
Understanding of OAuth principles and IAM Performance testing/tuning experience
Understanding of design patterns and loosely coupled architectures (Swagger.io)
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
