Title: Software Engineer, MES Ops Services Hub - 65064

Your Position:

As a Software Engineer on John Deere's Global IT Manufacturing, MES – Operations Service Hub team, you will get the opportunity to work on large-scale global applications in a Fortune 500 company that is regularly ranked among the best companies to work for in the country. In this position, you will be responsible for collaborating with other software engineers and analysts to develop, deliver and support applications and services that drive Manufacturing Executions Systems (MES). In addition, you will;

  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of technical solutions to deliver on User Stories

  • Follow TDD practices and develop solutions and RESTFul services using programming languages like Java and/or C#

  • Assist in resolution of IT technical issues in the product team

  • Establish and implement CI/CD pipelines

  • Develop automated test scripts

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • Proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java and/or C# (5+ years)

  • Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints (5+ years)

  • Proven experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment (2+ years)

  • Proven deep experience leveraging DevOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (2+ years) such as GitHub and Jenkins

  • Deep experience with software test automation (TDD and Unit Testing Frameworks) (3+ years)

  • Working understanding of design patterns (1+ years)

  • Experience developing software solutions for manufacturing shop floor (2+ years)

  • Working experience in any of the cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) (1+ years)

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Proven experience working in a team environment

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science/Engineering
