Title: Software Engineer - 66165

Your Position:

As a Software Engineer for John Deere World Headquarters, located in Moline, IL, you will work on Agile delivery team responsible for Indirect Materials & Services product. In addition, you will:

  • Design, develop, and test code required to deliver desired functionality

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure features meet business needs

  • Create necessary documentation to facilitate long-term support of product

  • Develop work estimates to facilitate team planning processes

  • Follow Agile software delivery methodology

  • Perform delivery using current technologies and practices

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • 3 or more years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java web development

  • Demonstrated skills in the following technologies and frameworks: Java, J2EE, SQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML

  • 3 or more years of understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

  • 1 or more years of proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment

  • 1 or more years of deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery leveraging GIT, Jenkins, Maven

  • 1 or more years of working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures

  • Experience with technical system interfaces, including API design and implementation using REST, web services, Akana

  • 1 or more years of experience working with Test Driven Development and Unit Test Frameworks; SONAR, Selenium and JUnit

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Proven experience as working in a team environment

  • Understanding of Supply Management processes

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
