Title: Software Engineer - 66029

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer, in the John Deere Order Management (OM) program (Moline, IL), you will get the rare opportunity to work on a large-scale global web application in a Fortune 500 company that is regularly ranked among the best companies to work for in the country. Employees joining our development teams will immediately be immersed in a culture where we emphasize personal and professional growth. This position will be on the OM Available-to-Promise (ATP) team. In this position, you will be responsible for collaborating with other engineers to drive application development and design to meet the ATP business requirements for the OM solution. In addition, you will:

  • Work as an active member on the ATP Agile team

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement the Deere-ATP SAP solution

  • Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance

  • Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs

  • Become the technical subject matter expert for the applications and ensure all required support documentation is complete and up to date

  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation

  • Assist with root cause analysis and resolution of production issues

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • 2+ years of experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions

  • 2+ years of development experiencing using one or more of the following languages: ABAP, Java, and/or SQL

  • 2+ years of understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints

  • 1+ years of proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment

  • 1+ years of experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

  • 1+ of working understanding of design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures

  • 1 or more years of experience working with Test Driven Development and Unit Test Frameworks

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Understanding of Order Fulfillment, Order Processing, Demand Planning, and/or Available-to-Promise

  • Experience working with SAP

  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Proven experience working in a team environment

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related software engineering career field
