Title: Sr Software Engineer - 63378
As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere located in Moline, Illinois, you will teach, coach, and mentor technical practices with delivery team members. In addition, you will be responsible for the following:
Mentoring agile practices with scrum and Kanban teams
Leading teams through technical transformation by helping to implement automation, quality practices including Test Driven Development, and other modern development practices
Technical pairing with embedded team members
Collaborating with architecture teams to develop technology roadmaps
Collaborating with IT Modernization to drive best practices into agile training

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences
Proven experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java web development with Sprint and Restful APIs leveraging change management (8 or more years across multiple of these)
Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints (8 or more years)
Proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment (7 or more years)
Proven deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery 7 or more years
Deep experience in cloud development with platforms like AWS or Azure (4 or more years)
Working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures (4 or more years)
4 or more years of experience with TDD and acceptance test-driven development utilizing J-Unit, Cucumber & Cypress
4 or more years of varied DB experience (e.g. DBS, SQL Server, MongoDB, Hibernate, NoSQL)
Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies
Experience collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solutions
Effective interpersonal communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Experience as a work lead providing technical coaching and mentoring to others
Proven strong leadership skill and experience, influence effectively, ability to resolve impediments in a timely manner
Established relationships and connections with key technical and business partners in (business capability, product family, and/or product team)
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent discipline
