Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer on the EPDM Lifecycle Management Team, for the John Deere Enterprise , located in Moline, IL or Chicago, IL you will be responsible for collaborating with other software engineers to build a transformed solution for Deereās engineering process which is used across the globe
Work as a software engineer on a scrum team delivering solutions using Test Driven Design and Security by Design principles across multiple platforms and technologies
Provide technical leadership for solution definition, design, build, deploy, and support
Mentor other software engineers on methodologies, technologies, and practices
Participate in daily pairing efforts as the primary mode of building solutions
Participate in regularly scheduled scrum ceremonies
Support PDM architecture initiatives including event-driven architecture, data analytics, etc.
Assist with root cause analysis, debug, and fix complex product issues and lead preventative recurrence initiatives

What Skills You Need
5+ years of experience with object-oriented design and event-driven design patterns
5+ years of experience with JAVA, Typescript, and React
3+ years of experience mentoring and coaching others on a technology path
Well versed in RESTful service design (Azure APIM, other gateway solutions)
Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and practices quickly and apply them effectively
What Makes You Stand Out
Programming experience with Object Oriented ABAP
Configuring for automated building of cloud infrastructure (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc)
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management relative to product engineering
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Degree in Information Technology discipline, computer science, computer engineering or a degree in any field with equivalent work experience
