Title: Staff Software Engineer (Moline, Il or Chicago, IL - Hybrid) - 101373

Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer on the EPDM Lifecycle Management Team, for the John Deere Enterprise , located in Moline, IL or Chicago, IL you will be responsible for collaborating with other software engineers to build a transformed solution for Deere’s engineering process which is used across the globe

• Work as a software engineer on a scrum team delivering solutions using Test Driven Design and Security by Design principles across multiple platforms and technologies

• Provide technical leadership for solution definition, design, build, deploy, and support

• Mentor other software engineers on methodologies, technologies, and practices

• Participate in daily pairing efforts as the primary mode of building solutions

• Participate in regularly scheduled scrum ceremonies

• Support PDM architecture initiatives including event-driven architecture, data analytics, etc.

• Assist with root cause analysis, debug, and fix complex product issues and lead preventative recurrence initiatives

What Skills You Need

• 5+ years of experience with object-oriented design and event-driven design patterns

• 5+ years of experience with JAVA, Typescript, and React

• 3+ years of experience mentoring and coaching others on a technology path

• Well versed in RESTful service design (Azure APIM, other gateway solutions)

• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and practices quickly and apply them effectively

What Makes You Stand Out

• Programming experience with Object Oriented ABAP

• Configuring for automated building of cloud infrastructure (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc)

• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management relative to product engineering

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Degree in Information Technology discipline, computer science, computer engineering or a degree in any field with equivalent work experience
