Your Responsibilities

As a UX Coach for John Deere located in Moline, IL, you will…

  • Mastery level understanding of User Experience. 5+ years of experience in a UX role driving research and design activities for a product

  • High level understanding of Agile and proven experience incorporating UX activities and user feedback into the product’s backlog

  • Experience with usability testing and user feedback methods including usability testing, contextual interviews, focus groups, surveys, user interviews, etc.

  • Experience implementing Design Thinking methodology, mission model canvas, lean canvas, or business model canvas

What Skills You Need

  • 5+ years - Mastery level understanding of User Experience.

  • 5 years - in a UX role driving research and design activities for a product

  • 5 years - Experience with usability testing and user feedback methods including usability testing, contextual interviews, focus groups, surveys, user interviews, etc.

  • 3+ years – creating personas and journey maps.

  • 2+ years - High level understanding of Agile and proven experience incorporating UX activities and user feedback into the product’s backlog

  • 2+ years - Experience implementing Design Thinking methodology, mission model canvas, lean canvas, or business model canvas

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Additional UX Certifications and/or Advanced Agile Certifications

  • Has performed other agile roles such as Engineering Manager, Scrum Master, Product Owner

  • Strong communication and presentations skills, including the ability to lead design discussions, workshops, training sessions, and user interviews

  • Experience and proven ability to coach upward (IT director, Business director, Product Management, GEMs)

  • Proven ability to coach technical teams and develop others (will need to coach other coaches)

  • Proactively identifying impediments and experience overcoming roadblocks (technical & business) at multiple levels of the organization

  • Learning Agility / Innovative - desire and openness for continuous technical learning and identifying areas for application

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology/IT discipline or equivalent experience
