Title: Financial Coordinator, Events Marketing - 56015
As a Financial Coordinator, Events Marketing for John Deere in Olathe, KS, you will provide support for project teams to ensure smooth operation through administrating budget information, purchase orders, vendor invoices, reporting of metrics, data analysis, etc. and ensure compliance with all finance policies, timelines, and documentation. In addition, you will:
Maintain accurate financial tracking information for all projects in both SAP and Workfront.
Engage with accounting function and/or systems to proactively gather information regarding current financial situation for all projects
Ensure invoices received from vendors are timely, accurate and properly assigned
Research issues where discrepancies occur and ensure proper resolution
Complete reconciliation of John Deere Financial account on behalf of team
Coordinate information regarding journal vouchers, interunit transaction system entries, accrual transactions, etc. to Accounting
Coordinate all information ensuring requisitions and purchase orders are opened and closed according to policy
Communicate status of purchase orders to all stakeholders effectively
Coordinate with Supply Management on issues involving vendors
Collaborate with Events Management team to ensure effective communication to key stakeholders in accounting, supply management, and vendors
Ensure the proper handling of contracts per policies, requests certificates of insurance, etc.

What Skills You Need
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)or equivalent
Understanding of financial concepts such as budgets, discounted cash flow (DCF), return on investment (ROI), operating return on assets (OROA), shareholder value added (SVA), etc.
Experience with MS Office 365, particularly Excel
Experience with SAP
Experience with Supplier collaboration and interfacing tools/systems
Experience with Workfront
Ability to travel domestically up to 10%

Demonstrated skills in report creation and communication to various audiences
Experience with budgeting and capital equipment justification process
Experience with accounting and supply management systems and policies, ideally including the ones in place at John Deere
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent
