The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
As a Part Time Student for John Deere located in Urbandale IA, Ankeny IA, Waterloo, IA or the Moline IL areas you will:
Work with business managers and engineers that support John Deere work with outside companies that produce agricultural products.
Develop and run reports on financial performance of John Deere partners and suppliers.
Develop a scorecard and compile information on shipment performance and other metrics.
Assist Partnering Managers with presentation generation, organizing events, and assistance with project schedule maintenance.
This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need
Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in a finance, business, data analytics, or engineering discipline; others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university
Graduation date of May 2024 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work during the academic year 10-20 hours/weekly
Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly
Ability to work onsite as needed during periods of time with remote work accommodated
One year experience or completed classes with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
One year experience or completed classes on financial metrics
What Makes You Stand Out
Ability and interest in generating reports, scorecards, and project plans
Experience with PowerBi
Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to word independently with oversight being remote at times
Interest in working with people of different backgrounds on a global team
NOTE: For Iowa State University Engineering students, this assignment will qualify for an ISU co-op position working 20 hours per week.
