As a Manufacturing Engineer for Ottumwa Works located in Ottumwa, IA, you will s upport assembly operations for the Cutting Products Business Unit. In addition, you will….
Identify and lead capital investment projects.
Lead line balancing activities to ensure proper workflow and labor distribution.
Lead team(s) to address quality issues by utilizing root cause analysis and mistake proofing by gathering and analyzing data; working with design, tooling, advanced technologies, maintenance and other functional areas to resolve issues.
Create and maintain work instructions and graphical work instruction delivery.
Work with SAP, MPPlanner, and JDAAT (MES) to perform engineering functions

What Skills You Need
1 or more year(s) experience with shop floor documentation (Sequence of Events, Labor Standards, and Operator Methods Sheets( OMS) and Line Balancing (DLBT)
1 or more year(s) knowledge of capital justification and budgeting.
1 or more year(s) demonstrated ability to work with the wage workforce and many levels of the salary staff.
1 or more year(s) experience with line design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance.
1 or more year(s) experience with tooling design and CAD modeling.
1 or more year(s) working in a union represented factory.
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience in Dynamic Line Balancing Tools (DLBT)
Knowledge of incentive pay systems
Experience with MPPlaner for SOE development
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology.
