Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: OFP Industrial Engineer - 55325
As an OFP Industrial Engineer, you will establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope. Additionally, you will:
Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope
Work with electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling and simulations
Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing through the John Deere Quality and Production System
Participate in team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope
Participate in analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology
Make modifications to existing performance pay plans; assists in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans

What Skills You Need
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including Ergonomics, Quality tools such as Mistake Proofing and PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing tools such as Value Stream Mapping and IPKs, Sequence of Events, Waste Elimination Methods such as Gemba and NVA Analysis, Tooling
Experience with data analytics to drive process improvements
Working knowledge of Microsoft tool set with an emphasis in Excel and Visual Basic software
Experience using computer aided design and/or engineering tools- Specifically Creo and PDM
What Makes You Stand Out
Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:
Experience working in manufacturing environment
Industrial or Mechanical Engineering background
Experience in using Excel or other spreadsheet for analysis of data
Knowledge of any Discrete Simulation Tool (Flexsim, FactoryFlow, etc.)
Experience with SAP
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline
