Due to the development of John Deere Polska Business Service Center office in Poznan to newly creating Supply Management Services Department we are currently seeking candidates for the position of:


What You’ll Do

The main area of responsibility of Cost Management Specialist is supporting Buyers, Divisions and Units management cost reduction and cost increase projects together with using of Global Cost Management (CM) Methodologies and cost-reduction planning processes to ensure all costs are identified and managed to achieve the lowest total cost.

At this position you will also:

  • Lead and/or participate in the development of cost management methodologies and tools across the enterprise;

  • Assess training needs, develop training plans, and train Division and Unit personnel in the use of cost management methodologies and tools

  • Work with Strategic Sourcing teams in leading development of cost management strategies for sourcing, negotiations and decision making.

  • Assist in supplier negotiations by using fact-based information based on analysis of quotes, use of cost models, and other appropriate analyses, i.e. considering cost drivers such as material indices, currencies, etc.

  • Align with Controlling-department in regards to reconciliation for CMS project and get appropriate credit and correct PRC

  • Provide industry/market analysis for commodities to assist the sourcing teams in structuring and negotiating long-term agreements and in understanding the cost drivers that affect the volatility or stability of how commodities are priced

What It Takes

We need an excellent communicator in English & German, both written and verbal, who embraces challenges and likes to work in a global, interdisciplinary team. Ideally you have University degree in Business Management and/or generally in technical area.

We also require:

  • Experience in specific areas of Supply Management such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, etc.

  • Project management experience

  • Good computer systems skills (SAP, MS Analytics skills

  • Very good team player attitude with conflict resolution skills

  • Flexibility and a goal oriented daily business management are essential for the completion of daily duties

  • Good computer system skills (MS-Office, SAP R/3)
