Software Engineer Global IT HR Travel & Expenses (m/f)

  • The integration of SAP with Concur Solutions is one of the most important topics in the area of travel and expense management.

  • This position will be on the Global IT SAP R/3 Travel management product Agile product team delivering solutions for Travel & Expenses within SAP HR Business capability area and future SAP Concur.

  • You will participate in all aspects of the Agile team's work which includes software delivery, product configuration, automation, and service management.

  • The person filling this position will not be expected to be an expert in all technologies on day one but should come with a foundational knowledge and an insatiable desire to learn and grow.

    Responsibilities:

  • Participate in discussions with the Scrum and Product teams to develop technical solutions to satisfy business requirements related to HR Travel & Expenses applications using SAP R/3 and future SAP Concur technology.

  • Support and guide our business partners in finding and implementing the right E2E integration setup between SAP R/3, SuccessFactors and SAP Concur.

  • Develop, code, configure and test SaaS system extensions as well as internally developed programs and integrations.

  • Evaluate and implement solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications

  • Follow Deere Agile methodology for development and documentation.

  • Utilize automation techniques to digitalize tasks in situations where system integrations are not possible.

  • Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in the design, development, testing and integration of mid complex software solutions.

  • Understanding of application development and data management.

  • Ability to apply engineering principles and concepts for designs.

  • Experience with integration technologies such as SAP Finance/HR.

  • Knowledge in SAP Finance modules like GL/AP Solutions -cloud and on-premise.

  • Knowledge in SAP Concur Expense and SAP R/3 Travel & Expenses solution.

  • Good inter-personal and communication skills in English – German will be nice to have.

  • Openness to work with global Product teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in integration between SAP & non SAP Applications.

  • Working knowledge of SAP Concur global platform & SAP R/3 Travel & Expenses.

  • Interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.

  • Experience configuring, and implementing system execution/quality monitoring tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field.
