Due to the development of John Deere Polska Business Service Center in Poznan and start of new Supply Management function we are currently seeking candidates for the position of:

Supply Management Planner (M/F)

Location: Poznan

In Supply Chain Management, our primary responsibility is to select and manage the John Deere global supply chain of the assigned commodities. We are committed to exceeding our customer expectations by delivering products of the highest quality, on time, in full and at globally competitive costs.

Main scope

Performs the duties of a Supply Management Planner I. Communicates with suppliers on a day-to-day basis regarding schedule releases. Schedules requirements for purchased material such as economic order quantities, optimal inventory level, delivery and material replenishment. Responsible for the implementation of optimal logistics processes and the material management systems within the unit and for the logistic performance of the suppliers. Provides support services to Supply Management Specialists.

What You’ll Do:

As a member of the Supply Management Department at the John Deere Poland Team, your main responsibilities will be:

  • Execute planning tasks

  • Evaluate and conduct extensive research (e.g. inquiries) independently and prepare a decision.

  • Performing Communication Tasks

  • Acquiring transactions

  • Obtaining information and providing information from / to Suppliers and customers.

  • Telephone calls and conversations in foreign languages (English/ German)

  • Monitoring of costs of procurement

  • Provide and support technical innovations.

  • Check costs based on predefined documentation, examine, analyze and coordinate deviations;

  • Propose cost reduction measures and realize in alignment w/ Cat.-Lead & Supervisor

  • Present suggestions for solutions and clarify with customers.

  • Consider changes to forecast by extrapolation the costs or estimates based on experience.

  • Planning and monitoring of: Dates, Reconcile and define dates with suppliers and customers and plan and organize meetings.

  • Schedules and expedites the delivery of purchased materials to support a production plan, including recommendations for premium logistic alternatives when appropriate.

  • Processes suppliers non-conformances and expedites corrective actions.

  • Works with the Supply Management Specialist to maintain an ongoing relationship with assigned suppliers to monitor and improve supplier performance; measures the performance of the supplier and defines corrective actions; may negotiate with suppliers to resolve short-term performance problems.

    What It Takes:

  • Experience in specific areas of Supply Management such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, etc. - Less than 1 year

  • German language is a must

  • English language skills required

  • Knowledge of unit processes and operations.

  • Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
