Onsite/Remote: Remote Position

Note: Relocation assistance is not provided.

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND .

Your Responsibilities

As a Part Time Student - Data & Analytics for John Deere , you will….

  • Assist with data acquisition

  • Drive data validation and processing activities

  • Help expediate the integration of new data sources into Machine Learning models

This position is not available to students on immigration visas

What Skills You Need

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in a Data and Analytics discipline; others may apply

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college/university

  • Graduation date of December 2024 or later

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly

  • Available to work during academic breaks 35-40 hours/weekly

  • Must be able to complete work and assignments remotely

  • Must be able to occasionally travel to a John Deere office in either Iowa, Illinois, or North Carolina per the manager's discretion

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel or an equivalent software

  • Experience with one or more of the following coding languages: SQL, PySpark, Python

  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow with the team

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Proficiency in more than one coding language listed above

  • Familiarity with basics of Machine Learning model development, GitHub, Data Bricks, AWS

  • Ability to speak Portuguese (not required, but we do have resources in Brazil for whom their second language is English)
