Title: Inventory Analyst
Primary Location: Mexico (MX) - Coahuila IJD Saltillo
Manages the Change Control Process (Decisions) at the factory related to all engineering changes dealing with new product programs. Runs change decisions. Conducts reliability/warranty analysis of the currently produced products to identify top customer problems and drive corrective action for these issues.
What Skills You Need
Coordinates all product changes that are introduced to the factory from engineering - both running changes as well as changes made due to Enterprise Product Delivery Programs (EPDP).
Defines the manufacturing specification structure to insure that the Complete Goods Order Management Reporting (COMAR) system order codes are linked to the appropriate manufacturing Bill of Materials (BOM) through the Product Configuration Identifier (PCI).
Resolves specification problems caused by the manual interface between the Material Requirements & Inventory Control System engineering specification and the SAP manufacturing Bill of Material (BOM).
Responsible for warranty and reliability engineering analysis utilizing standard techniques used by all Deere units.
Assists in developing reliability verification plans to help ensure engineering changes that are implemented into production have demonstrated adequate reliability growth and are introduced with minimal risk.
Collaborates with the Supply Management organization to analyze and identify potential warranty claims attributed to supplier quality issues which can be charged back to the supplier as part of our warranty recovery plan.
Identifies all Initial Stock Order (ISO) quantities for new service parts being introduced to the factory based on previous in-field failure rates, previous part sales and reliability demonstration of the new part on field test units.
Defines and maps all activities of the factory change control process relative to multiple departments, as well as other Deere units, that are involved in product changes. Includes acting as the process owner for the Change Control Process.
What Makes You Stand Out
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.
Computer systems knowledge, ideally including the systems used at John Deere.
Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisitions Process (ECAP).
Understanding of bills of material.
Working knowledge of the appropriate operating and information systems.
Knowledge of industry Product Verification & Validation processes and execution methodologies.
Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
