Title: Senior Functional Safety Engineer - 94288

Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Functional Safety Engineer located in Silvis, Illinois, you will drive the functional safety process for grain harvesting products. In addition, you will:

  • Serve as the expert in functional safety discussions and analysis

  • Facilitate and document functional safety review activities

  • Interface with enterprise functional safety experts

What Skills You Need

  • Experience with design and verification of electrical systems within a product development process

  • Understanding of software design and verification processes and tools

  • Understanding of ISO functional safety standards ISO 26262 and/or ISO 25119

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams both locally and in remote locations

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of product safety standards and regulatory requirements of agriculture vehicles

  • Functional safety certification

  • Experience with functional safety software toolsets

  • Product delivery processes experience

  • Project management experience

  • Systems Engineering certification

  • Advanced training in additional engineering disciplines

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering or other relevant discipline
