John Deere Reman Skilled: Maintenance in Springfield, Missouri

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is to perform maintenance as needed on all equipment and building as assigned by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all maintenance on equipment and on building.

  • Complete basic fabrication

  • Run conduit and piping.

  • Troubleshoot equipment and complete repairs.

  • Assist skilled maintenance technician as needed.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in EHS activities and projects in a team environment.

  • Assist in RCI (Rapid Continuous Improvement) events for the factory.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Exposure to dust, varying temperatures, loud noises, oil, grease, flying debris, and chemicals.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, squat, twist, bend, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. Standing 35%; walking 35%; sitting 30%. Frequently lift and or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and not be afraid of heights.

SKILL/ KNOWLEDGE/ ABILITY/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED is required

  • 2 to 5 years of prior industrial maintenance experience required

  • Some Electrical experience preferred.
