Title: Quality Engineer - 74185
As a Quality Engineer for John Deere Reman in Springfield, MO, you will provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations. This includes the application of quality tools within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and Customer Support Process (CSP). In addition, you will:
Learns and uses quality planning tools and analysis to formulate/facilitate quality plans for new products within the product delivery, order fulfillment or customer support processes.
Responsible for testing and analyzing electronics components in the factory and warranty return cores.
Job duties may include understanding and applying theory of operations of electrical circuits, reporting issues, and diagnosing technical problems.
Communicate the findings from warranty core returns with internal/external cross functional teams.
Learns and uses quality tools consistent with quality processes to enable the focus on prevention by identifying and performing activities to minimize risk.
Investigates product and process quality related issues and recommends changes to control plans and/or prints.
Performs quality process verification audits for the factory.
Inputs and maintains information in factory databases and systems.
Creates Quality metrics and provides factory wide communication for FPY, low hour failures, QNote trends, etc. and helps develop resolution to repeat issues.
Assists in reviews and investigations of warranty claim information.

What Skills You Need
Understanding theory of operation of electronics product/circuits
Electronics troubleshooting capabilities
Work experience in an electronics manufacturing facility
Understanding of Quality Tools
Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
What Makes You Stand Out
Proven record of a strong teamwork/collaborative mindset.
Two or more years of experience in Quality Engineering
Two or more years of experience working in or with a remanufacturing business
Able to manage tactical and strategical tasks
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards
Quality Management systems knowledge
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Degree in an Engineering /Technology, Math, or a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience
