Function: Product Engineering

Title: Product Engineer - 58985

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer for John Deere Thibodaux Works, located in Thibodaux, LA, you will work on hydraulic systems, component selection and component design for sugar cane harvesters. In addition, you will:

  • Be responsible for integration of hydraulic systems and components into the sugar cane harvester

  • Work with the software and electrical teams to meet the hydraulic system’s functional control and electrical requirements

Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position.

What Skills You Need

  • Design experience with hydraulic systems for large mobile equipment

  • Experience with reading and creating hydraulic schematics

  • Experience creating system and component specifications

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

What Makes You Stand Out

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • Experience with engine systems, software and vehicle control systems, and electro- hydraulic system modeling (e.g. AMESYM, EASY-5)

  • Experience using company systems such as ProE and PDMLink

  • Experience with hydraulic hose and tube routing

  • Experience troubleshooting issues with open-loop and closed-loop hydraulic circuits

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
